Sarah's beautiful quilt

This here is a quilt of love and healing made by Sarah. That's her daughter on the right, Megan, then me on the left and Dad. Whenever mom needs a nap or bit of warmth, she wraps herself in the colors and coziness of this art. Thanks, Sarah.

Civil War quiltmakers smuggled messages and supplies to their fighting men by sewing them into the blocks and tacking. I wish we could each send a bit of us in a square to sew together and wrap around you for group power!

I love how you make those doctors be straight with you. I know your strength and determination helps your family be as brave as you are.

Thank you, dear Robin. That group power's coming through stronger than you know.

Hi, Di and company!!!

This quilt reminds me of a cape you sewed for me when I was getting ready to come to Mexico as an exchange student, It was beautiful, red and blue plaid, reversible, corduroy and I used it quite a bit that year (who says it is not cold in Mexico...the houses are colder than outside as there is no central heat)

I remember going to the plaza, with my Spanish-English dictionary in the pocket and feeling so comforted knowing that I was not alone....you had gone through this before me!!!

I love you Di and am cheering for you,

Donna
